DULUTH, MN — Across the state of Minnesota, there are an estimated 180,000 people who struggle with eating disorders.
Across the country, 77 percent of those dealing with them never seek treatment.
Jillian Lampert with The Emily Program in Duluth stops by the KBJR 6 Today studio to discuss treatment options and to help us better understand those dealing with eating disorders.
Additional resources for those seeking treatment for eating disorders can be found on The Emily Program’s website.
The Emily Program will be holding a local event called ‘Understanding Eating Disorders’ on May 15th at the College of St. Scholastica from 9 to 11 a.m.
Event attendees can learn more about eating disorders and treatment options.
