DULUTH, MN — Motorists travelling on Interstate 35 and I-535 in Duluth may encounter temporary ramp closures and detours while crews do routine bridge and ramp inspections this week.
Monday’s work has been rescheduled to Thursday due to the rain.
That work will include the northbound and southbound lanes of the Michigan Street Bridge over southbound Highway 194.
Those lanes will be reduced to a single lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
On Tuesday, the northbound I-535 to northbound I-35 ramp will close between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for routine inspections.
Wednesday’s work includes the closure of the northbound I-535 to southbound I-35 ramp between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
A lighting improvement project on I-35 in Duluth is also well underway.
The project will require ramp and lane closures through June 7 in the following areas:
-I-35 from 5th Avenue West to 10th Avenue East along with the North
-Southbound Frontage Road between 5th Avenue West and Lake Avenue
The project is expected to be complete June seventh.
Motorists are asked to be patient and use caution in and around work areas.
