SLIDESHOW: Winners of St. Louis County Public Health Awards

DULUTH, MN — At Tuesday’s St. Louis County Board meeting, several people were honored for their work in Public Health.

Workers were given Public Health Achievement Awards for several different things, including helping battle the opioid crisis and equipping people with Naloxone, which reverses the effects of opioid overdosing.

Ashley Grimm was recognized for being a public health servant for her work in youth development, and also working with the Damiano Center and the Human Rights Commission, among other things.

Employees for Ely’s Community Care Team and Dementia Duluth were also recognized.
