No unnecessary travel advised in Duluth area

DULUTH, MN — Officials with the City of Duluth say they are advising against all travel unless it is necessary on Wednesday due to the weather.

There is currently low visibility due to winds and drifting snow.

Snow is expected to fall throughout the afternoon and into the evening hours, and possibly slow down around midnight.

If you must travel, you’re asked to take precautions.

Everyone is also asked to follow alternate side street parking laws so plow drivers can safely and effectively clear the areas.

In addition, the city is closing all branches of the Duluth Public Library at 5 p.m. due to conditions.
