Local waitress donates days worth of tips to K9 protection cause

In light of the recent tragedy regarding the death of K9 Officer Haas last Sunday, many are wondering how to protect K9s in the line of duty.

Heather Tout earned $281.96 in tips over a span of 5 hours on Thursday. She donated all of it to Mike Letica’s Go-Fund-Me page which is going towards buying protective equipment for K9 officers in the Northland.

Iron Mug Owner Mike Letica says it touches him in a special place in his heart that she was willing to donate her personal earnings.

Next Thursday, January 24 the Iron Mug is donating 10% of profits to the cause.

Mike Letica is hoping that others businesses in the area will do the same.

After learning about Heather, Old Chicago and Castle Danger Brewery are teaming up to hold an event next Thursday January 24th at 6 PM, and from that 10% of sales will go towards the cause.
