MAPLE,WI – We are halfway through the regular season and the Northwestern girls basketball team continues to look impressive. As of right now, the Tigers are 11-2 and 2nd in the Heart O’ North conference.
The team says a lot of success is from buying into the new system and speeding up the tempo of the game. Junior Brooke Ogren and senior Mackenzie Corell have also made major contributions on and off the floor.
“We’ll run 9 to 10 girls deep to play, and that’s been one of the strongest attributes. I think we have 6 girls averaging between 8.5 and 10.5 points per game. We are not dominated by one or two players, we are dominated by 6 who can step out and score. Our rebound numbers are all very similar. You know Mac (Mackenzie) leads the conference in assists.” said head coach Paul Eberhardt.
Northwestern will face Spooner on Tuesday.
