Bulldogs set for 2nd series with Bemidji State

DULUTH,MN – For the 2nd time this season, UMD will take on Bemidji State. This time, the Bulldogs are will be in Beaver territory. Earlier this season, UMD came away with a sweep over BSU. They even outscored them 8-1.
Assistant coach Laura Bellamy says she isn’t taking them lightly.

“I think Bemidji has just proven year after year to be very solid defensively. They pack it in their D zone and they do a good job of it so, we will count on our D to get pucks through and our forwards to do the work down low. We weren’t always doing that in the first half and we just had a good weekend of it so, I think we have some good momentum, now we gotta keep working.” said Bellamy.

UMD Head Coach Maura Crowell is away coaching Team USA U-18 women’s hockey in the World Junior Championship. Despite her being across the country, Coach Crowell still stays in touch with Bellamy.

UMD (7-8-2) will face Bemidji State on Friday and Saturday. Game one will get going at 3:07 p.m.
