Governor Walker orders flags to Half-staff for fire captain killed in drunk driving crash

MADISON, WI– Governor Scott Walker has ordered flags to half-staff on Sunday, January 6, 2019, as a mark of respect for Captain Christopher Truman of the Lake Mills Fire Department.

Captain Truman was killed by an alleged drunk driver on New Year’s Eve while helping the driver of a separate, crashed vehicle on Highway 12 near the Yahara River Bridge in Monona, Wisconsin.

Captain Christopher Truman was a member and volunteer of the Lake Mills Fire Department for 13 years.

He leaves behind an honorable legacy of service, and the people of Wisconsin mourn his death.
