MN Power foresters helping pave way for repairs in California

DULUTH, MN — Minnesota Power is sending a helping hand to those who need it in the wake of the deadly California wildfires.

Company spokespeople say three foresters are currently in California, helping Pacific Gas and Electric inspect and clear burned and dangerous trees from power lines.

California requested more than 1,200 lineworkers, among other crews, to help repair the extensive damages left in the wake of the Camp Fire.

Officials say opening access for line crews to help restore power is a critical first step in rebuilding.

The Camp Fire is the deadliest fire in California’s history.
